Question: How much does it cost for admission to the museum?
Answer: General admission is $9.00, Senior citizens (62+) are $8.00, Children (12 and under) are free!

Question: When is the museum open?
Answer: The Los Angeles Police Museum is open on the 3rd Saturday and Sunday of the month from 10:00am-3:00pm. Docent guided tours are available for groups of 10 or more.
However due to our ever evolving schedule, sometimes we may be closed/close early for events or filming. Please check our homepage and Facebook page for updates on museum hours and closures or call (323) 344-9445.

Question: How do I schedule a tour? How do I find more information about tours? Can I get a docent to tour us around the museum?
Answer: Call us at (323) 344-9445 to see what dates are available. Docent/tour guides are available with groups of 10 or more.

Question: I would love to know more about a relative/loved one who used to be on the LAPD…I have a question about the history of the LAPD…Do you have a picture of my loved one…etc.
Answer: These are all considered research requests. We require that ALL research requests be submitted via e-mail to info@lapolicemuseum.org. Examples of e-mail subject titles: ‘Research Request on my Dad’, “Request: Grandfather’s LAPD Class Photo”, “LAPD Research Question”, etc.

Question: How long will it take to get my research request answered?

Answer: We have a volunteer researcher that works on the requests that we receive. Turnaround time is usually 1-2 weeks.

Question: Do you rent your parking lot for base camp? Is the museum available for filming?
Answer: Yes! Please call the museum at (323) 344-9445 for availability and pricing.

Question: We would like to donate something to the museum. How do we go about doing so?
Answer: E-mail us at info@lapolicemuseum.org about the artifact that you are hoping donate. Please include pictures and a detailed description of the item. Title the subject of the e-mail as: “LAPM Donation”
**PLEASE NOTE: We do NOT accept any unsolicited donations**

Question: How do I order a brick?
Answer: You can find a brick order form on our ‘Store’ page at the bottom underneath “Special Offer”. There you will find a link to download the form.

Question: I placed an order for a brick. When do you expect to have it up at the Academy/the Museum?
Answer: Brick orders are placed when we receive a minimum of 60 orders. Therefore, orders are not immediately submitted when they are received. Once we place the order, it will be a minimum of 3 months (or more) for the brick to be placed at the Academy/the museum.
